St. Bernard Project is the only Louisiana nonprofit in the running for Chase's $1 Million vote. Below is an email from St. Bernard Project co-founder, Liz McCartney, on how you can help:
Hi Friends,
I am writing to ask for your help. The St. Bernard Project is in the running to win $1Million from Chase on Facebook. Right now we're #17 out of 100. Polls close Fri, Jan 22 -- can you help us get out the vote? If we win we'll rebuild 66 homes, create 21 jobs and offer 2,000 hours of free mental health services.
Below are three simple things you can do to help make this goal a reality:
1.Vote: http://bit.ly/8kBwWm (This strange little link will take you to our Facebook page where you can vote.)
2. Ask Facebook friends to vote: we found the follow is effective -- set up an event from now through Jan 23, invite all your friends AND IMMEDIATELY afterwards send them a message saying "Please just vote (don't attend)" It's an easy way to mass email Facebook friends. You can readily send follow up messages once the event is set up.
3. Send tweets: examples below
