According to study 51 percent of Louisianians volunteer
Lt. Governor Jay Dardenne is announcing the results of a study showing one in two Louisiana adults volunteer in their communities. The study, commissioned by Volunteer Louisiana and conducted by LSU's Public Policy Research Lab, reveals that in the past year, 51 percent of Louisianians 18 or older volunteered, and more than 85 percent indicated they would continue to volunteer during the next year. The study was conducted in April 2011 and called on 720 respondents from 216 cities and all 64 parishes. Continue Reading...
