Opportunity Title:

Plank Road Thrift Store Angels

Opportunity Description:

In 1963, the Society opened the first St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store/Distribution Center to assist the poor of our community. Our stores provide more than just a place where customers can purchase items at bargain basement prices. Through our St. Vincent de Paul Conferences, we also provide clothing, bedding, appliances, furniture and household items free of charge to those in need. Any revenues generated by our stores are put back into our programs to assist the needy.

Volunteers are a critical part of our store operations. Volunteers can assist St. Vincent de Paul tremendously by sorting through and organizing donated items which will enhance the processing and ultimate sale of donated items. Donated items may originate at our Distribution Center or at one of our thrift stores, thus the need to have volunteers sort and organize items at both locations.

Do you love to organize? Won't you be an angel and assist us at the St. Vincent de Paul Plank Road Thrift Store. Your assistance will benefit St. Vincent de Paul by allowing us to provide critical services to some of the most vulnerable members of our dear community! We can't wait to see you!!!
