Volunteering
Volunteer Housing
Nonprofit and faith-based organizations working in disaster recovery efforts along the Gulf Coast may provide housing for volunteers. The type of housing may vary from a common room with bunk beds and shared bathroom facilities to smaller rooms for teams of volunteers to individual rooms for volunteers. Some organizations may charge a nominal daily or weekly fee to offset the costs of providing housing, and some may offer meals with housing. If you are from outside the Gulf Coast area, please contact the nonprofit or faith-based organization you are interested in volunteering with to ask about housing options. If they do not provide housing, they may be able to connect you with an organization that does.

Description: The United Saints Recovery Project is a rebuilding non-profit that offers housing for groups volunteering with us or other area non-profits. Can accommodate up to 75 people. Amenities include; free Wi-Fi, meeting space, and a large outdoor area with fire pit and basketball hoop. Located near the Lower Garden district, St. Charles streetcar line and less than three miles from the French Quarter. Rate: $25 per person, per night. This includes dormitory style accommodations with A/C, and meals Monday-Friday which consist of continental breakfast, bag lunch and a meat and vegetarian dinner option.
