Now Available: Volunteer Louisiana FY26 Request for Proposals (RFPs) for AmeriCorps Louisiana Grants

Volunteer Louisiana has published its FY26 Requests For Proposals (RFPs) to support AmeriCorps Louisiana program activities from August 2026 to July 2027. Volunteer Louisiana welcomes applications from governmental agencies, educational institutions, and non-profit organizations interested in recompeting for, continuing, or establishing an AmeriCorps program within their respective entities. Administered by Volunteer Louisiana, these grants are made available through the federal agency, AmeriCorps.

 

National Competitive RFP process: This RFP process is open for current AmeriCorps Louisiana programs in year 2 or 3 of a 3-year National Competitive grant cycle and all AmeriCorps Louisiana programs that will complete any 3-year grant cycle in 2026. Volunteer Louisiana shared National Competitive RFP information directly with the Authorized Representatives of qualified programs. This process has an application deadline of Mon., Feb. 23 by 11:59 p.m. 

 

State Formula RFP process: This RFP process is open for current AmeriCorps Louisiana programs in year 2 or 3 of a 3-year State Formula grant cycle (known and State Formula Continuation applicant) and any New organizations applying for a 3-year grant cycle that will begin in August 2026. Interested organizations should carefully review the guidance and timeline in the FY26 State Formula RFP file below. This process has an application deadline of Tues., March 8 by 11:59 p.m.

    • Tues., Feb. 10 to Fri., Feb. 13: Volunteer Louisiana hosts RFP Reviews for State Formula applicants. (see RFP Review Sessions section in the State formula RFP)
    • Thurs., Feb. 19 and Fri., Feb. 20: Volunteer Louisiana hosts RFP Training and Technical Assistance Sessions for applicants (See RFP Drop-In Training and Technical Assistance Sessions section in the State formula RFP)
    • Sun., March 1, 11:59 p.m.: Deadline for New Applicants to submit their Notice of Intent to Apply (NOI) via the Online form: https://forms.gle/XeyuFx4JqRSqzqRd6
    • Sun., March 8, 11:59 p.m.:  State Formula RFP applications due for New Applicants and Continuation Applicants
    • Mon., March 16: Volunteer Louisiana Commission will update any organization(s) whose applications does not meet a minimum score to proceed in the FY26 RFP process. For all organizations that do meet a minimum score to proceed, Volunteer Louisiana will issue letters covering application items that need clarifications or corrections.
    • March 16 – April 10: Applicants can continue to refine their State Formula applications.
    • Fri., April 11, 11:59 p.m.: Final Versions of State Formula RFP applications due
    • Second half of April: AmeriCorps Committee of the Volunteer Louisiana Commission Board will review all State Formula applications and prepare recommendations for discussion at the May 6 Quarterly Board meeting.
    • Wed., May 6: Volunteer Louisiana Commission Board will discuss annual State Formula Funding applications on this date.
    • May – July (Clarified Dates expected in March): Volunteer Louisiana Commission submits selected State Formula applicants via eGrants to AmeriCorps.
    • Mid-August (Clarified Dates expected in March): AmeriCorps will issue Notice of Grant Awards (NOGAs) to Volunteer Louisiana for selected State Formula applicants. Awarded programs must wait until after the NOGA date to begin their programs.
