Volunteer Tutors Needed to Assist Immigrant & Refugee Families
Catholic Charities Immigrant and Refugee Services’ Family Literacy Program is an initiative through its education department. This program offers comprehensive English language, academic, tutoring, and civic/community services for immigrant and refugee families in the New Orleans community. We are seeking reliable, passionate volunteers to help support this program. Volunteers work primarily as tutors, working one-on-one or in small groups to help our clients with academic, English-language, workforce, or Citizenship services. This volunteer position provides an excellent way to connect with our migrant community in a more individual, personal, and friendly manner.
Where/When: Currently being held online, volunteers are asked to commit to one of the following time slots per week: Tuesdays and Thurdays - 11 am - 12:30 pm or 2 pm - 3:30 pm, or Wednesdays from 5 pm - 6:30 pm.
